About Arielle Feldman Casasnovas, Ph.D.
I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and an Assistant Attending Psychologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health Center. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression in children, adolescents, and young adults. Other areas of specialty include parent management training and providing family support. I primarily work from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) model with the inclusion of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. I offer a variety of clinical services in the faculty practice and inpatient setting, including diagnostic evaluation, consultation, and psychotherapy. I also serve as a clinical supervisor for psychology and psychiatry fellows in the child outpatient and inpatient Departments.
Dr. Arielle Casasnovas completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Delaware and earned both her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she received research and clinical training in evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical training had a particular emphasis on childhood anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Casasnovas completed her clinical internship training at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS). She has trained in in a variety of settings, including academic medical centers, community mental health clinics, public high schools, and a clinic specialized in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and related disorders. She has advanced training and experience in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Parent Management Training. Dr. Casasnovas completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center/ ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, where she is now an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry and an Assistant Attending Psychologist. She serves as a clinician and supervisor of inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy.
